Job Overview

We’re a dynamic UK-based charity focused on widening access to quality education, and we’re looking for a dedicated Voluntary Education Manager to lead and grow our educational programmes for a fixed term of 12 months. About Us

Our charity is dedicated to improving educational outcomes across the UK. We design and deliver innovative educational programs and events that empower young people, teachers, and communities. We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to lead our events and projects, ensuring they are executed successfully and have the maximum impact.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the charity’s education strategy and learning programmes.
  • Design and adapt inclusive learning resources suitable for diverse audiences.
  • Coordinate a team of volunteer educators, tutors, and mentors.
  • Monitor the delivery of educational content across various platforms (online/in-person).
  • Track learner progress and gather feedback to evaluate impact.
  • Ensure programmes are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with our values.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner participation and achievements.
  • Plan and organise educational workshops, sessions, and outreach activities.
  • Support safeguarding practices and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Use basic IT tools (Google Drive, Zoom, spreadsheets, etc.) to manage resources and communication.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and volunteers.
  • Engage with external partners such as schools, community organisations, and funders.
  • Contribute to reports and funding bids by providing programme data and case studies.
  • Help recruit and train new education volunteers.
  • Promote the programme through charity channels (newsletters, events, social media).
Requirements
  • Experience in education, training, youth work, or curriculum design (voluntary or paid).
  • Good communication, organisational, and team leadership skills.
  • A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive education.
  • Basic IT proficiency (email, cloud storage, video conferencing, Word/Excel or similar).
