Are you an experienced events manager or project manager with a passion for education and community development? Our UK-based educational charity in Bristol is looking for a Voluntary Events Manager/Project Manager to help us plan and execute key events and initiatives that will make a real difference in the lives of young people. We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to lead our events and projects, ensuring they are executed successfully and have the maximum impact.

Responsibilities
  • Event Planning & Management Organise and oversee a range of events including workshops, conferences, fundraisers, and community engagement activities.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects from conception to completion, ensuring that all tasks are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Budget Management: Oversee event budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and efficient use of resources.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with staff, volunteers, and external partners to ensure smooth execution of events and projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with stakeholders, sponsors, and partners to ensure successful collaborations and secure the necessary support for events and projects.
  • Logistics Management: Handle all event logistics including venue selection, scheduling, travel arrangements, materials, and technical requirements.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Support the promotion of events through social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels to drive attendance and engagement.
  • Evaluation & Reporting After events, assess their success, gather feedback, and provide reports to senior staff, ensuring continuous improvement in future events and projects.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in event management or project management, ideally within the charity or education sector.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent planning, organisational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience managing teams and liaising with stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and tackle challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine interest in supporting educational initiatives and making a difference in young people’s lives.
